Manufactured from EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber, the 5C08 chemical hose offers an operating temperature range of -30°C to 120°C (-22°F to 248°F) creating a versatile industrial hose to carry an array of acidic chemicals in varying conditions and states. Internally, the chemical suction and delivery hose is lined with black EPDM, a synthetic acid resistant rubber which resists the fierce attack from acids. Externally, the 5C08 model is covered with a smooth yellow synthetic rubber that resists chemical breakdown as an extra layer of resistance against harsh acidic contents and protects the hose from weathering.
The addition of a high tenacity Polyester Tyre Cord in the 5C08 hose model offers a high degree of strength while remaining lightweight for ease of use with a wide range of acids and chemicals for transport. The cord also prevents kinks from occurring in the hose which extends durability and transfer volume while retaining a degree of flexibility. It must be noted that the 5C08 model is strictly NOT for use with Hydrocarbons as this will cause breakages in the EPDM lining which may lead to hose failure. An anti-static wire is also embedded in the hose to dissipate any electrical charges.
Cleaning this specific acid suction and delivery hose is simple. The 5C08 model can be easily washed with hot water or steam, but the temperature of such cannot exceed that of its maximum operating temperature of 120°C (248°F).
