Testing

A full range of pressure or vacuum testing options are available and tests are carried out on all hoses in accordance with the requirements of the customer. Test data is recorded live and is supplied in graphical form on our pressure test certificates. Each assembly has a serial number for full traceability to test data and production processes.

• Pressure test.
• Vacuum test.
• Tensile test.
• Bending test.
• Durability test.
• Burst pressure test.
• Chemical test.
• Electrical resistance and conductivity test.

Electrical resistance and conductivity test

A test procedure for determining electrical continuity between the end fittings of a hose assembly without actually measuring the resistance, has been introduced carried out in the field and in the factory when requires verification of electric conductivity between both metal end fittings.

Vacuum test

Vacuum tests reveal whether assemblies are running properly by highlighting any malfunctions and air leaks seal or the pipe fittings, and ensuring that the preset vacuum limits on each hose are reached.

Pressure Test

Pressure testing (hydrostatic) involves filling an assembly with water and taking it to a pre-specified test pressure, generally 1.5 times the maximum working pressure and holding it for a set period of time. Whilst under pressure the hose is monitored and inspected to ensure that the pressure is held and its integrity is maintained.

All assemblies manufactured by Cavmac supplied with pressure test certificate. Pressure test procedure done in-house by our engineers.

Burst Pressure Test

A burst test is a destructive test and performed to determine the pressure overload capacity of rubber hose assemblies. The tests are performed with
a fluid. This test is often performed as a pre-production test to meet safety and quality standards.

Bending Test

The bending test is necessary to compare the theoretical minimum bending ra-dius with the real one. The test is carried out on a special designed stand in the witness of our qualified engineers as well as third party inspectors if required. The standard hose assembly made to customer requirements can be tested or bent to theoretical bending radius. In case of special requirements to bending radius we can build a prototype and perform bending test to achieve / find out minimum possible bending radius.

Chemical Test

Chemical resistant test performed to compare compatibility with different me-diums of rubber compounds by immersion the rubber compounds samples into required medium for min 3days to compare physical properties such as weight change/swelling, density, deformation, cracks etc. The goal of above method to compare before and after results to determine if tested rubber compound are suitable for the mediums.

Tensile Test

The tensile test on hose assemblies and is performed according to ISO standards. The test is used to determine characteristic values such as tensile strength, yield point, offset yield, and strain at break.

Durability Test
